The Android Marketplace is the App Store for Android powered smartphones. If you're running Android 2.0, then here are the "top" medical apps under the "health" section of the Android Marketplace as of March 2010:
Top Free Health Apps:
- Calorie Counter by FatSecret
- Diet & Food Tracker
- BodyFitness
- CardioTrainer
- Favorite Recipies
- White Noise Lite
- Lightning Bug - Sleep Clock
- Best Self-Help Quotes
- Epocrates
- Medical Spanish - AUDIO (Lite)
Top Paid Health Apps:
- Racing for CardioTrainer
- ICE: In Case of Emergency
- HappyCow VeginOut Guide
- White Noise
- Weight Loss for CardioTrainer
- Calorie Tracker by LIVESTRONG
- Men's Health Workouts
- GymBook
- Fast Food Calorie Counter Pro
- Baby ESP
I wonder if we'll eventually see a "Medical" category in the Android Marketplace. As you can see from this list, many of these apps really aren't professional medical apps. They're really geared for the consumer. What's also interesting is that I don't see medical apps like Skyscape, Unbound Medicine, Lexi-Comp.
Cub-Cal Baby Tracker by Nest & Grow is another Android app for keeping track of your baby's daily routine. You can log activities as they're underway or schedule recurring activities in advance. Quickly check items off as they happen and enter times only if they vary from what was scheduled. After a few days of logging you can review your baby's routine with the timeline.
ReplyDeleteLog sleep, nursing, bottles, meals, diapers, baths, vitamins, medicine, reflux, walks, books, playtime and more. You can also set alerts and email your schedule.

Hope the Android market will soon be at par with the iPhone App store. I have tried to compile some of the best android health apps on my blog - Techchai.com.
ReplyDeleteCheck them out.
Thanks.
