Company to perform live demos of accurate, continuous, real-time, biometric data streamed to multiple mobile platforms at booth N3638
RALEIGH, NC, January 04, 2012 – Valencell, an innovator in mobile health and fitness technology integrated into audio headset earbuds, today announced it will demonstrate its enhanced V-LINC® sensor technology at the 2012 International CES. Valencell’s V-LINC® solution continuously measures more real-time biometric data, with higher accuracy, in virtually any environment, than any other health and fitness sensor technology on the market.
Valencell will showcase live demos of V-LINC® on multiple mobile platforms, including Android and iPhone, at booth #3638 in the North Hall. Presenters will be wearing earbud prototype units and showing mobile applications to demonstrate how Valencell’s licensable technology measures body metrics such as continuous heart rate, calories burned, distance and speed during use on a treadmill, stationary bike, and in other exercise scenarios.
Valencell is a Silver Sponsor of the Fitness Tech Exhibition and Conference embedded within CES. The conference will showcase the newest innovations and tools for the sports enthusiast, as well as spotlight key trends within the sports, fitness and outdoors market. Valencell CEO and co-founder Dr. Steven LeBoeuf will serve on the panel It’s Not Just Tech, It’s about Aspiration on January 10th from 12:10 to 1:05 p.m.during the one-day event in room N256.
“Studies show that 70% of regular exercisers wear audio headsets while exercising, and Valencell aspires to connect with that audience to make health and fitness more accessible through our earbud sensor technology,” said Steven LeBoeuf, CEO and co-founder of Valencell. “While at CES, we will be showcasing why V-LINC® is ideal for use in fitness training, athletic performance coaching, and many other related applications. Companies will discover how they can turn audio headsets into health and fitness devices on multiple mobile platforms by integrating V-LINC®.”
Dr. Steven LeBoeuf and Dr. Chris Eschbach, Director at Human Performance Laboratory, LCC, are available for briefings at the show.
The 2012 International CES, produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), is the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow, is scheduled from January 10-13th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
