This weekend, I am in Arizona attending the American College of Physician Executives Fall Institute and I am working with Dr. Kent Bottles to explain the benefits of using social media in medicine. Physicians executives use smartphones too, but many of them have not installed the Twitter app and they do not have a Twitter account. So, I am here explaining why busy docs may want to invest some time each week to engage in social media.
The world of health care is evolving rapidly and social media is a powerful way to stay current about these trends. Twitter can be a powerful tool if used correctly.
The next time you see a doc using a smartphone, ask "are you tweeting?"
